A countryside tour in Bohol is not complete without a cruise along the Loboc River. Tourists on board floating restaurants are treated not just to a sumptuous buffet lunch but also to a vista of lush vegetation of palms , coconut trees, and bushes. Young boys swimming in the river and people passing by on small boats may just be ordinary scenes. However, the spectacle of boys diving from a leaning coconut tree, from a point no less than 10 meters above the water, will really take your breath away.
The river cruise winds up near the Busay Falls and makes a turn around. On the way back tourists are entertained to a mini-cultural show of songs and dances by local people - young and old, housed in a floating cottage. Not a few tourists join in the dancing with the performers.
To those of you who have Bohol in your travel plans, don't ever miss the Loboc River Cruise.
