Among the many shots taken during a relief operation for the earthquake victims in Cangawa, Buenavista, Bohol, the one shown below specially grabbed my heart. Not joining the long queues, this boy opted to stay away from the crowd. Perhaps fearful of losing sight of his mother or father, he chose to stay behind the wire fence of the school ground. Although wearing an untidy shirt too big for his age, his innocent smile and speaking eyes really captured my heart.

A picture does paint a thousand words!

a hand-me-down shirt
faded and oversized...yet
his smile...sweet and fresh
